All the apps are fine but the nexus one needs to get the app that can start up your car like the iphone

Q: What’s the biggest complaint against the Nexus One?
A: There’s no double touch feature, i.e. no pinch-to-zoom.

Eh-hem, not true. The Dolphin Browser app, available in the market place, has this feature. So, the web browsing experience on the N1 is very similar to that of the iPhone.

Oh, and for now my favorite app is “Instant Lyrics.” Any song you play in the music player is automatically accompanied by lyrics.

Did I mention I’m a karaoke enthusiast?

Great resource. These are the best Nexus One apps for me so far.

1. Google Voice – for my voice
2. TV.com – for my TV shows
3. Google Listen – for my Podcasts
4. Pandora radio – for my streaming radio
5. The Weather Channel – for my weather
6. Seeismic – for my Tweets
7. USA Today – for my news

Is there an app for ski run maps at alpine ski resorts? This type of app would come in handy if it was similar to the golf card app, only for skiing instead of golf.

Where can I get an adobe flash player for Nexus one

JCLOISEAU January 25, 2010 at 7:07 pm

Here are my favorite apps by types:
Games:
Robodefense and Retrodefense: the best tower defense games IMHO
Bonsaiblast: SO addictive
Jewels / Devilry Huntress: very addictive
The plateau: Simple and addictive
Solitaire: several games, simple and good app
Then comes Spiderman/Prince of persia/Assassin’s creed, GoGorescue, Battleship, Hyoerspace

Leisure:
Aldiko: tons of ebooks to read free and easy of access: a MUST
Meridian: Better than the original player
Shazam: hey that’s just cool!
Magic 8 ball: just because it’s funny
Wapedia: Better for me than quickpedia
Wikitude: funny when you travel abroad
Google Sky Map: You see (insert name here) This is Venus!
Gmote: Now I have a reason to hook the PC on TV
Goggles: it’s useful
Tricorder: Well actually for wifi it’s more accurate.

“REAL” apps:
Handcent SMS: much nicer than original (but the double notification is annoying)
Dial FAVS: VERY useful
Flashlight: basic toolkit
ES task manager: make your phone faster
ES file explorer: good and plus it works with previous program
Color notes: does what any blocnote should do
Documents to go full: perfect complement to gmail
EboBirthday calendar: it’s good to have a quick access to this

I tried open home, better keyboard, lock 2.0, etc. they bug too much, take too much space running all the time and they don’t facilitate the purpose of your phone so much.

I did not list basic Apps because anyone knows they are really good already.

@JCLOISEAU
You have to turn off the notification of the standard SMS App. So you don’t have any double notification. ;)

Not anymore. Download and install Android 2.2. Click a button and your Nexus turns into a wireless router.

I’ve been looking around some really useful free Android apps and I found many of them here. But none of them, I could find for Skype.

What about SIP support on Nexus One?
